Our bread is made in San Francisco for us and delivered daily from the Italian district at 7 am even during holidays. Yes, we could save money and use some par baked bread from Ohio and just toast it in the oven for you, but it’s just not our philosophy.
Our meat is from Boar’s head. You ask why? the answer is very simple. At Boar’s Head they start with only the finest ingredients available, just as they’ve done continuously for over a century.They and we are proud to say that our meats and cheeses contain no fillers, gluten, artificial colors, flavors or trans fat. Boar’s head doesn’t put anything in our products that you wouldn’t put on your own table.
Our Chicken are fresh for quality purposes delivered to us on a daily basis. Our anti-biotic free poultry lives their lives on a never ever program; that is never on anti-biotic ever. The chickens are also on a vegetarian diet which supports its authenticity, quality and taste. Next time you are at bite’s counter, we invite you to taste the difference.
Our Sausages are from Saag’s. What makes Saag’s® sausages truly stand out is the meticulous selection of the best ingredients available. Saag’s buy meat from carefully chosen suppliers, local and regional when possible, who are dedicated to the same high quality standards that we are. We start with only fresh whole muscle meats, never ground meat or meat parts. All of the meat we use is inspected and meticulously trimmed. The exact same is true of our other ingredients: fresh whole, cracked or ground herbs and spices; fresh vegetables; dried fruits; and fresh eggs that we crack ourselves in the recipes that call for them. We do not use spice blends or spice extracts because we know our customers can taste the difference.
Our soups and bake entrees are made following our recipes and delivered daily fresh and natural ingredients as well. We only use fresh, natural ingredients and no artificial preservatives or flavor enhancers. About our people:
At Bite, we don’t believe in blowing our own horns, or tweet our menu daily just to let you know how hip we are, but you can order ahead of time on this new invention called the tely ( we find it work just fine) We make the sandwiches right when you order it.Be aware that most if not all our sandwiches are toasted, if you are in a hurry call ahead.
Our founder says... MAN DOESN’T LIVE BY SANDWICH ALONE BUT HE SHOULD.
The People that work at Bite are all trained and tested before they are allowed to make your food. Training is arduous , from menu tests to mastering certain dance moves. (The dance moves are taught by Miguel). A speed test is also part of this training. Employees must be able to make a “GOODA GOOD” sandwich and a Cobb salad in under the 5 minutes, culminating in the final test where they must juggle 3 kittens.
